Candidates must live in the MD/DC/VA area in order to travel to client meetings and in office meetings on a regular basis.
PURPOSE:
This role is responsible for developing complex new business opportunities and/or retain existing business within the Commercial Markets Division. This position represents the organization in acquisition strategy development, prospecting, network analytics, financial evaluation and negotiating with clients and brokers using consultative selling skills in order to grow new business and/or retain existing business and enhance profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Licenses/Certifications Upon Hire Required:
Current health and life license for the jurisdictions of Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
Experience: 5 years sales/healthcare experience in a similar sales position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a similar sales position with a competitor or another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Salary Range: $72,000 - $117,000 (salaries are based on education, experience, and internal equity) Sales incentive is separate.
