PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for Sales of Medicare Advantage products designed to meet the needs of the veteran population. Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services and/or solutions. They will play a pivotal role in planning, developing, and delivering the marketing strategy for products/services that encompasses direct sales, community education and Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In partnership with leadership, builds the marketing strategy and drives the execution of Veteran Medicare Advantage product launch and partnerships, including direct sales strategy to engage potential members through outreach and warm lead follow-up. Supports multiple sales distribution channel partners to articulate product positioning and the advantages.
Promotes and sells veteran Medicare products and services to individuals or organizations (VSOs) and strategic community partners. Supports business growth by disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and its products and services around community engagement and coordination of community events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 3 years sales/healthcare experience in a similar sales position
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a similar sales position with a competitor or another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan is preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge and understanding of CRM, Salesforce, and other client management tools
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Licenses/Certifications
Current health and life license for the jurisdictions of Maryland, DC, and Virginia Upon Hire Req
Salary Range: $60,800 - $98,800 (salaries are based on education, experience & internal equity)
