Business Process Management Consultant (Remote)

PURPOSE: 

The Business Process Manager Consultant will provide expertise in tailored, strategic and critical work while delivering on Finance and Accounting initiatives for the Enterprise. This position will also provide leadership while partnering in cross functional process management initiatives including developing process architecture and hierarchy, process transformation, process automation and reengineering. The incumbent will function as a champion of process improvement methodologies and implementation throughout the organization. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting and driving the completion of backlogged Finance related initiatives and any future projects to enable business effectiveness and agility, research and document business processes and practices while implementing sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable operational and strategic process improvements. This individual will eventually serve as a subject matter expert within the Finance organization. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible to drive efforts in operationalizing Finance processes.
  • Provide critical support in the additional work relating to administering financial processes in compliance with our current and potential future contracts. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise in CAS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, project management, finance and budgeting, data and metrics, information technology, etc.) that contributes to the effective accomplishment of initiatives tasks and goals.
  • Proactively lead cross-functional teams and projects between internal and external stakeholders to deliver value to supported team.
  • Proactively identify ways, means and platforms to build constructive interaction and mutually reinforcing workstreams to accomplish tasks more effectively across different business functions of initiatives.
  • Develop industry standard best practices for Finance process management, innovation and continuous improvement across the enterprise. 
  • Review and support task coordination while identifying potential process improvements within Finance.
  • Design and run dashboards to support clear communication across vertical components of business.
  • Develop and manage technology platforms to track progress, programs and impact for supported business area(s).
  • Support budgets, policies, and assist in task/functions with the various IT Finance Managers.
  • Manage resources (change agents and champions) within a matrix environment to lead process improvement initiatives across the enterprise. Engage in training activities with change agents and champions to develop this capability and skill set across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certified in Business Analysis - PMI Upon Hire Preferred
  • CSSBB - Six Sigma Black Belt BPMI Certification Preferred
  • Certified Public Account Preferred

Experience: 10 years relevant business process specialization (i.e. business process management, consulting or other applicable business process transformation experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public accounting experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) 

  • Skill in analyzing and organizing technical data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Knowledge of web-based applications and documentation tools. 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
     

Salary Range: $122,480 - $218,933

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
