Resp & Qualifications
PURPOSE:
Directs the Human Resources function and staff for the Washington DC CareFirst Administrative Headquarters and Subsidiaries. Directs and manages onsite human capital strategies and principles. Facilitates the implementation and application of effective workforce strategies, policies and practices while ensuring that positive associate relations, diversity and legal considerations are supported. This position is part of the senior management team for this region, and actively participates in the development of business strategies as the expert for workforce deployment and Human Resource implications.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 8-10 years of related HR experience preferably in an Associate Relations capacity. At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources at the manager level or higher. Demonstrated expertise in positive associate relations, complex HR policies, programs, and procedures.
Abilities/Skills: Demonstrated managerial and leadership, organizational and analytical skills. The ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization. Experience in development and monitoring of performance metrics, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
