Resp & Qualifications
Required: Incumbent should have a BS degree in relevant field or equivalent experience and 2-3 years of related audio visual technology experience and project management experience. This position requires strong interpersonal skills. Incumbent must be comfortable with communicating or sharing information in a variety of forums and audiences. The incumbent must also be proficient in the use and service of current CareFirst equipment technology in Conference Services including the CareFirst Conference Centers and various Corporate Training departments. Candidate must also possess exemplary diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Abilities/Skills: This position requires excellent interpersonal skills including but not limited to excellent communication, negotiation, written documentation, and presentation skills. This position works directly with associates at every level within the CareFirst/FEPOC organization and must quickly learn to manage the needs of those in senior levels of the Company and to be more politically astute. Incumbent must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. In addition, the incumbent must be able to write and produce detailed, accurate documentation and business correspondence.
The ability to effectively communicate with various levels of associates and management is essential. A professional image is a must. The incumbent must have strong organizational skills, an aptitude for details, and problem-solving skills. The incumbent should be a self-starter, working independently and as a team. The incumbent must also be able to prioritize, manage time effectively as well as function with no supervision under tight deadlines, and demonstrate initiative in problem solving.
Advanced skills with PC applications including Microsoft Operating systems (Windows 7 and Windows 10), VOIP technology, Microsoft Office Suite which include Skype for Meeting and Internet applications are important. The incumbent will demonstrate flexibility in a changing and demanding environment and be able to manage multiple priorities. The incumbent must be able to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Preferred candidate will have 5 or more years of experience with CareFirst networks, systems, and technology. Candidate will also have extensive experience with conference services audio visual and telecommunications operating systems with internet based applications. Will have knowledge of the CareFirst/FEPOC building infrastructure.
