PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Under the direction of the Manager of Audit and Information Services and/or Manager of Audit & Advisory Services, the incumbent's accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provides automated information gathering support and performs data extraction and data analysis using analysis technologies (e.g., ACL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, Oracle, or DB2) and reporting to support the execution of Audit & Advisory Services’ (AAS) internal audit activities (e.g., planning, fieldwork, quantification of exceptions, sampling). Works closely with AAS management team and data owners (as needed) in the development and maintenance of a Continuous Auditing process to proactively monitor and report on risks, exposure, internal controls and key performance indicators across various areas of the Company.
In coordination with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/Corporate Initiatives (CI) Audit Team, leads application and SDLC audits and pre and post implementation reviews of the systems and processes implemented to support strategic Company initiatives. Provides technical advice relating to systems operations, systems development, process and control design, system security, project management, and business process improvement. Monitors the progress and management of new systems and processes implemented to support Company strategic initiatives, and advises and consults on risk management and controls associated with strategic initiatives. Leverage analytical capabilities to analyze and evaluate complex integrated systems, applications, and processes, and identify opportunities to improve process and control design.
Proactively analyze and review emerging technology, changes in the Insurance/Healthcare industry and the business functions of clients, to evaluate advanced applications relative to Corporate Audit & Assurance strategies, goals and objectives. Provides input to Audit and Data Analytics Strategy and ensure the strategy is inclusive of appropriate data, technologies, capabilities, and related methodologies.
