Resp & Qualifications
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following under the general direction of the Manager EAB Reconciliation:
Coaches, counsels and motivates associates (concentrating on associate development) to increase quality and production while helping to achieve positive results. Reviews daily/quarterly/monthly production results to ensure quality and accurate reconciliation activity. Provides input and makes recommendations on hiring decisions and completes performance appraisals.
Ensures current policies and operating procedures are followed by staff. Performs review and analysis of processes and procedures to ensure that all reconciliation goals are met. Makes recommendations to improve the quality and efficiency of reconciliation.
Develops logical and accurate reports to management regarding discrepancy counts, inquiries, correspondence, cases, and other pertinent information to provide necessary information for management of workflow. Keeps current on all CMS and SBM communication and ensures staff are aware of upcoming changes and impacts to reconciliation process.
Other projects and duties as assigned to assist in company, divisional, and/or departmental goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position can supervise 10-20 Customer Service Reps, Claims Processor and/or Enrollment & Billing Reps as well as additional clerical staff.
This position requires 0-3 years of supervisory experience with knowledge of the health insurance industry or CareFirst system specific experience. Incumbent must have proficiency in the service, claims or enrollment & billing area. In lieu of supervisory experience in the health insurance industry or related field, position requires extensive experience (2 - 4+ years) with CareFirst systems: FLEXX, CARE, NASCO or FACETS.
Must also have strong analytical and problem resolution skills, strong communication skills, interpersonal/leadership skills, and be able to motivate. 3+ years PC skills or related technical skills also required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar field
