Diversified Benefits is a new department at CareFirst with a focus on providing Life, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity insurance coverage in addition to our current portfolio of medical and dental/vision products.
Diversified Benefits is responsible for the initial rollout of these products as well as the on-going operational maintenance and sales. We have a lot of work to do to launch and shape this product line – from market research to understanding how to ingrate these products into our pre-sale and post-sale processes. You could be involved in researching how to launch new product features, competitive analyses, baselining current operational processes, marketing, contract generation, broker compensation, service standards, etc. You name it – we’re building it!
We’re looking for students who are interested in learning about new products and markets as well as developing their leadership and professional skills. It’s an exciting time to be at CareFirst!
Required: This position requires an individual working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an accredited college or university. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. We are looking for students seeking degrees in business, business administration, management, entrepreneurship, leadership, organizational change, and other related programs.
We are looking for students who can work up to 15 -20 hours during the academic year and 40 hours during the summer.
