CareFirst BC/BS is seeking Assistant General Counsel 8 - 10 years as an attorney and a minimum of 3 years in health insurance/managed care to support Health Care & Vendor Contracting.
The ideal candidate will have substantial providing advice and counsel to executive management and/or their designees on all legal issues affecting the business unit assigned and will represent the company in legal proceedings brought by and against CareFirst, Inc, its subsidiaries and/or affiliates.
Must be able to lead, anticipate and drive solutions for diverse legal and business issues in a time pressured and changing environment.
Admission to the MD or DC Bar within one year of hire date and Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) required.
The incumbent is required to immediately disclose any debarment, exclusion, or other event that makes him/her ineligible to perform work directly or indirectly on Federal health care programs.
