Resp & Qualifications
PURPOSE: Assists in managing Big Data Administration activities, technical documentation, system performance support, and internal customer support.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The incumbent’s accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Procedural: Updates and maintains operations manuals, inventories, and written procedures relative to maintaining and using the Big Data environments.
Education: Educates self in - Current business systems and processes; Various components of Big Data/Hadoop technology stack including interactions/integrations with supporting technologies.
Technology Consulting: Participates in problem resolution and coordination with Level 1 support.
Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, etc. or relevant year of experience. Demonstrated interest and understanding of computer systems.
Application Support: General knowledge of Big Data concepts and principles
Technical: Big Data Administrator Technician position requires general knowledge of computer sciences and Hadoop Systems.
Specialized skills: Office Software: Solid understanding/experience with Microsoft Office products.
Abilities/Skills: Good oral and written communication skills
