PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include, but are not limited, to:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verification of general ledger data through development and maintenance of monthly reconciliations/analyses of reported activity to source documentation. Process includes resolution of outstanding issues through research and initiation of corrective control measures – procedural or transactional.  Provide timely and informative information regarding the status of reconciliations and relevant projects to management.
  • Preparation of monthly  journal entries including relevant supporting transactional or analytical documentation, in a timely manner to meet divisional goals and deadlines.
  • Special projects as necessary: Will include application of accounting and research techniques toward resolution of outstanding material issues;  simple analyses and trending of financial information are performed to verify the integrity of data in the financial statements. 
  • Strengthen departmental effectiveness through cross-training, documentation of procedures and assistance in responding to audit requests.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and 0-3 years accounting experience which includes experience in development and maintenance of financial reconciliations and related schedules is a plus. A candidate for the designation of CPA is preferred. Must be able to coordinate multiple priorities.  Additionally, incumbent must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. An understanding of GAAP is required. PC skills should include a functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
