Purpose: The incumbent is responsible for leading solution architecture development efforts, defining conceptual, logical and physical solution and technical architectures for complex customer service integration initiatives with a major healthcare payer modernization program.

The position requires deep knowledge of public and private cloud, CRM solution architecture, and good understanding of healthcare customer service and care coordination, and an ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This role provides CRM solution architecture and expertise to business solutions across business and technology domains. It requires knowledge in a broad spectrum of architecture domains, including business, data, security and infrastructure architecture. In additions, this role provides architecture leadership and oversight for multiple modernization initiatives in customer services product line.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:  Under the direction of Senior Director, Solutions Architecture, the incumbent’s accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leads the effort to produce enterprise solution architecture designs for large to complex cloud CRM integration initiatives. Responsible for defining the system, technical, and application architectures that provides the best solution for supporting CRM and digital experience needs.  Leads the peer reviews of the architecture design deliverables as a member of the Architecture Review Board.
  • Leads complex projects/issues that require in-depth cloud solution integration knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments, work with delivery team address architecture, integration and technical issues, and in some instances lead the technical implementation of the solution architecture.
  • Partners with the Program Directors/Managers and business leadership in the definition of customer service and care coordination solution and architecture strategy, and the implementation of future state architecture roadmap. 
  • Maintain a high competency in healthcare industry and emerging technology trends. Researches, evaluates and selects emerging technology and solution options best fitting business and IT strategic needs. Lead and contribute to COTS evaluations and selections. Conduct proofs of concept for emerging technologies and business concepts.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field or equivalent work experience.   More than 12 + years of experience in enterprise projects and 5-8 years of relevant enterprise solution architecture experience, with 4-5 years of experience in leading cloud integration architecture and application modernization efforts for customer service and care coordination initiatives. Subject matter expert in project management execution of multiple enterprise level, mid to large sized projects; experience in participating in multi-discipline, high-performance work teams/groups and demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.  Expert in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale SaaS solutions.  Extensive experience in developing technical architectures integrating cloud and on-premise solutions.  Extensive experience in translating business strategies, across several business units, into effective solutions. Expert knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.  Expert understanding of integration patterns and their application at all levels (conceptual, logical and physical).  A combination and good balance of architecture design and hands-on development skills. Proven strong technical leadership skills.

 

Abilities/Skills: The incumbent would have the ability to identify and resolve complex situations in a responsive manner, and take corrective action to eliminate re-occurrence.  Extensive understanding both long-term and short-term ‘big-picture’ perspectives.  Ability to understand the business architecture, processes and strategies.  Strategic thinking and leadership with excellent abilities in relationship management. Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills.  Ability to work collaboratively with others and facilitate problem resolution. Ability to anticipate future IT direction to support Corporate Initiatives.  Excellent understanding of Enterprise Architectural process and practices.

 

Preferred:   Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.  Experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms (in the health care industry).
