Sales Trainer

Resp & Qualifications

Provides formal and informal training to sales teams, sales support teams, and additional areas outside of sales that are key to the sales process. Utilizes business trends to determine development needs working with subject matter experts to develop training around new product launches and changes in current products/services. Enhances sales teams' consultative selling skills through observation, coaching and reinforcement of best practices.


Provides coaching to sales & sales leadership; Conducts training sessions; Develops training resources.

Determines training needs by studying sales results reports and conferring with sales leadership.

Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Education Details: Professional Sales, Business or related field
Experience:         5 or more years experience in a Sales or Sales leadership position.

In Lieu of Education

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)                                                                                
Ability to understand complex rules, regulations, procedures, and functions to disseminate that knowledge to in a clear and understandable format to others.                                                                 
Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.                          
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.                                                                             
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.                                                        

Additional Skills and Abilities

Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
