Manager, Procurement Operations

The Manager, Procurement Operations will be responsible for the ongoing support and improvement of our Procure to Pay (P2P) policies, processes, and technology. The Manager will play a critical role in both deploying new and managing existing technologies, enabling our suppliers and supporting our associates across the enterprise with all aspects of the P2P process.


  • Manage a team of Procurement Specialists to ensure PO's are processed accurately and timely, resolves outstanding invoice issues with our business partners, audit standards are maintained, control procedures are followed, continue to update SOP's on an as needed basis in coordination with the Category Managers
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (ex. Category Managers, Finance, AP, IT, Legal, Audit, Business Owners) to continuously refine and simplify standard P2P processes keeping in mind the user experience.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive, robust, and relevant set of training materials for both employees and suppliers on all aspects of the Sourcing & Procurement process and related technologies Drive Policy Compliance Responsible for maintenance and enforcement of Procurement Policy for Indirect Spend Design and build key controls around P2P transactions
  • Prepares procurement information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Drive policy compliance - responsible for maintenance and enforcement of Procurement Policy for accountable spend and build key controls around P2P transactions. Coordinate process audits (eg. SOX).

Education Level:              Bachelor's Degree

Education Details:            Supply Chain management, Business Administration or related field

Experience:        5 years experience in contract, sourcing, and negotiation with third-party suppliers to achieve appropriate quality and cost

1 year supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive experience in a purchasing and procurement role

In Lieu of Education

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)     

  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice.             
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; maintaining complex spreadsheets and write advanced macros.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to plan, review, supervise, and inspect the work of others.
  • Ability to apply sound business principles and practices to project management and change management processes.    
  • Proven strategic planning and solution creation ability
  • Proficiency with data analytics and performance metrics strategies using business management software      
  • Strong presentation skills and strong working knowledge with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary, cross functional teams in a matrix structure             
  • Strong interpersonal skills and mastery level of written and oral communication skills         
  • Project management, strategy, consulting, process improvement and/or operational experience      

Proven leadership / management of large complex programs and high-performance teams
