PURPOSE
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for determining priorities, developing controls and procedures for staff to follow. Responsibilities include organizing, structuring and maintaining a controlled environment to support accurate, consistent and timely processing of financial transactions. This position supports the Manager in the coordination of the monthly financial close process and the annual Financial Audit; review of various account reconciliations and key analyses; completion of special projects; and guidance to staff on daily functions. The position assures the accurate processing of financial information in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Government Regulations, and Corporate Financial Policies.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Education Details: Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Experience: 3 years Progressive experience in an accounting role.
Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
· Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.
· Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
· Strong, comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP principles.
