Resp & Qualifications
PURPOSE:
The Enterprise Vendor Manager (EVM) is responsible for facilitating and managing monitoring activities for Strategic Vendors that are critical to CareFirst operations. The EVM collaborates with the Business Units receiving services from such vendors and supports the overall health, relationship, issues, and strategic direction of the vendor relationship.
Principal Accountabilities:
Essential Functions
Vendor Performance Management:
Manages performance and relationships for strategic vendors including SLAs/KPIs, contract and risk metrics.
Facilitates and conducts business reviews (operational/executive oversight meetings).
Oversees the end to end process of Issues Management, from identification to remediation.
Planning & Due Diligence:
Informed of the risk/contract negotiation and onboarding activities for strategic vendors.
Manages and communicates relevant information regarding strategic vendor profiles across CareFirst.
Contracting:
Directly involved with renewals for strategic vendors, including the addition of any necessary contractual elements.
Remains aligned with Procurement and Legal in order to share insight on strategic vendors.
Strategy & Segmentation:
Consults with Business Units to develop innovative strategies, drive efficiencies in vendor offerings and identify operational efficiencies.
Lends support to sourcing strategies existing within Business Units and provides market insight as needed.
Vendor termination/Renewal:
Makes decisions alongside Business Units to determine termination for strategic vendors, the impact across CareFirst and remediation plans.
Actively monitors contract expiration dates to proactively address renewals and termination.
Consults with Business Units and key CareFirst Stakeholders regarding the terms and conditions, service delivery, etc.
Qualifications
Required:
Preferred:
• Broad knowledge of pharmacy landscape and legislation
• Masters degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or JD
