Senior Procurement Analyst (Sr. Financial Analyst)

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

Responsible to develop a best in class spend analytics tool and the ability to refresh and report on our data on a monthly/quarterly basis.  Will also be responsible to develop, implement and maintain a savings tracking tool for all Procurement related projects and will work closely with Finance to validate these initiatives.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Go to market to evaluate and select a spend analytic tool.  Will be responsible to run analysis on our vendor spend data to support Category Management, Vendor Management and other ad hoc reporting needs.  Works closely with our Procurement and Finance leaders to provide needed data and reporting.  Will interface with suppliers to help manage this tool to ensure our needs are being met.
  • Manages a savings tracker tool to report and track on a monthly basis how we are tracking to Procurement goals.  Will work closely with Procurement and Finance leaders to build the data and report and manage changes on a month-to-month basis in Excel and Sharepoint.  Various reports and views will be needed so that we can report on our progress during the year.  
  • Develops, coordinates, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports.  Creates and manages a database for reporting.  Works with the Director of Procurement Operations and leads communications with Procurement and Finance teams to build various scenarios and reports.  Gathers, compiles and interprets information collected through financial analyses in order to identify trends and provide insight for decision making.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent technical training and 5+ years of in financial modeling, analysis, project management, sourcing.

Abilities/Skills:

This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong PC and financial systems, strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as a team member. Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time.  Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.   Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
