SUMMARY: Responsible for enterprise-wide data architecture and design of data repositories across varying technology architectures. Ensures appropriate data optimization in support of data quality, data integrity, and application performance. Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing transactional system data architectures, operational data stores, data marts and big data. Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design. Defines data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects. Responsible for data lifecycle analysis and establishing guidelines for data management across the data lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful incumbent will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent and 7 years management experience (advanced degree preferred) large and complex database management systems The incumbent must have strong customer service orientation, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to motivate and persuade others. This individual must possess excellent planning skills and the ability to develop and implement departmental plans. Additionally, the incumbent must have the ability to identify priorities and achieve results with a sense of urgency and give honest straight forward opinions on related issues. Incumbent must have strong project management skills and data implementation lifecycle. Incumbent must emphasize formal testing and QA in all areas of responsibility.
The incumbent must have a minimum of two years experience with healthcare data, JAD Facilitation, and building enterprise data solutions. The incumbent must also have a technical knowledge of the following: DB2; SQL; a PC “Point and Click” end user reporting tool (such as Cognos or MicroStrategy); data analysis and reporting; health care packages (such as MEDSTAT, HBOC/GPG, or VIPS); client/server architecture; information engineering metholodogy; data modeling tools; case tools (IEF or ADW); data synchronization tools; and Web-based warehouse information retrieval, display, and analysis tools.
