Reporting Analyst

Resp & Qualifications

 

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for performing moderately complex analyses and problem resolution for the Privacy Office. Manages projects and prepares presentations for upper management. Provides analytical and reporting support for such purposes as: reported incidents, tracking of disclosures, debarment and suspensions of individuals and/or organizations, operational efficiency/quality metrics and productivity analysis.  Keeps management up to date on best practices related to the division.  Utilizes company systems and departmental tools to run queries, reports, extract data and identify trends.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Specializes in the reporting and data analysis functions for the Privacy Office and uses this information to produce various statistics, and/or quality and productivity metrics related to the Privacy Office.  Responsible for the maintenance and updating of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Responds to Director inquiries, handles special requests, researches moderately complex issues, develops custom reports to assist management with reported incidents and notifications in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements

Prepares various ad hoc analysis and reports in support of reporting requirements.  Analyzes and interprets data and makes recommendations to improve organizational processes.

Provides research and analysis support to the Privacy Director.  Operates as a valuable resource on best practices and process improvements. Provides the data analysis to support new procedures and policies in an effort to improve corporate privacy compliance.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:  No direct supervisory accountability but may lead other associates on department projects or processes.

 

SCOPE DATA:    Directly accountable for supplying the Privacy Director with qualitative and cost-effective information to help guide various critical Corporate Privacy decisions.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Required: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience related to productivity analysis, project management and statistical analysis.  Mid to advanced level experience with PC spreadsheet and database applications (Microsoft Excel and Access preferred).   Must have knowledge of legacy systems related to service, claims, sales and/or enrollment (i.e. FACETS, FEP Direct and NASCO).

 

Abilities/Skills:  High level of analytical and statistical abilities.  The ability to work independently and with those in various departments and areas not directly reporting to the Privacy Office.  Ability to work with and support Senior Management and to disseminate and summarize information into a format that can facilitate high-level decision-making processes.

 

Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time.  Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.   Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

 

Preferred:  Healthcare insurance industry experience.   Basic knowledge/skill in Powerpoint.
