The Position

The Talent Acquisition Operations Manager reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition.  The position will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Recruiting team at CareFirst.  The Talent Acquisition Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, productivity, and efficiency of Recruiting Operations through the provision of effective methods, analytics, and strategies.  This position will establish and manage key Recruiting metrics, analytics, reporting, and processes, with a focus on improving candidate experience.  This position ensures compliance with Recruiting policies and regulatory requirements. The Talent Acquisition Operations Manager will be expected to lead, coach, and manage a team of Recruiting Coordinators and Recruiting Analyst.

The Talent Acquisition Operations Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead recruiting data and analytics program with weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting on sourcing, interviewing activity, tracking towards quarterly hiring goals, and candidate experience.
  • Oversee the core operational processes for the Recruiting team. Refine, document, and manage consistent recruiting, interviewing, offer and onboarding workflows and processes (including managing relationships with agencies and vendors) that support a highly positive candidate experience.
  • Build a deep working knowledge of Recruiting systems processes, and tools; create efficiencies and prioritize areas for continuous improvement.
  • Develop, lead, and coach a high performing Recruiting Operations team.
  • Partner with Recruiting Leadership and Compliance specialists on Recruiting policies and audit requirements.
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of projects and programs within Recruiting, and cross-functionally.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; in lieu of Bachelor's Degree, 4 years of additional relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Recruiting Operations role; 1 year experience required, 3 years’ experience preferred managing and developing a team of Recruiting Coordinators and/or Recruiting Operations to deliver operational excellence.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights and translating those into process improvement recommendations.
  • Significant experience with Talent Acquisition technology and Recruiting best practices; a deep understanding of Talent Acquisition processes and requirements.
  • Experience creating organizational and operational efficiencies.
  • Previous ownership of maintaining compliance and regulatory talent acquisition processes.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver; extremely organized with a keen focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong project management and MS Office skills.
  • Outstanding writing, speaking, presentation, and documentation skills.
