Campus Recruiting Supervisor

The Campus Recruiting Supervisor reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition. The position will develop and lead strategic initiatives related to on campus and internship recruiting that will identify and attract top early career talent to CareFirst.  The Campus Recruiting Supervisor will be responsible for owning stakeholder relationships and partnering with the business to drive hiring and lead adoption of best practices in hiring campus talent.  The position is a champion of our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion strategies and will create and execute campus recruiting programs to support these initiatives. The Campus Recruiting Supervisor is a leadership role that will manage, coach, and develop a small campus recruiting team.

The Campus Recruiting Supervisor will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop, direct, and execute CareFirst's Campus Recruiting strategy to attract exceptional early career talent.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Campus Recruiters.
  • Drive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion recruiting initiatives to expand our diverse talent pipeline, partnering with our DEI team on key diversity initiatives and events.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to align campus strategy with business needs.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with external university career services, alumni organizations, student organizations, and diversity groups.
  • Partner with talent acquisition team members on various topics including hiring, intern conversions, and recruiting events.
  • Keep a pulse on industry and current marketplace trends to ensure industry leading hiring methodologies.
  • Conduct program reviews and leverage data and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Establish core KPIs and success metrics.



The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; in lieu of Bachelor's Degree, 4 years of additional relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years Campus Recruiting experience on a high-performing team required.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing or leading a campus recruiting team.
  • Proven success in developing and executing campus recruiting strategies, including diversity recruiting initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining consultative, influential, and collaborative relationships with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong ability to communicate challenges, devise and explain strategies. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Ability to use data to drive strategy and influence change across the organization.
  • Professional, positive, and mature attitude with good business acumen.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
