Client Analyst

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

The Client Analyst will work with large healthcare data sets to produce strategic analysis that are utilized by sales and client stakeholders. This role will assist in providing relevant insight for developing solutions to address client needs. The Client Analyst will assist in market research, provide insight into market trends, and provide meaningful insights into the diagnosis of the client's problems. This role is central to key functions fundamental to our core offering, and this individual will be immersed in critical, customer operations with an opportunity to take on more responsibilities over time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works with the Account Management teams to identify and understand the clients' healthcare information needs.  Assists in determining how to maximize the messaging of CareFirst's value to the client. 
  • Prepare unique data sets and conclusions for incorporation into client presentations by the sales team
  • Research industry and client specific topics of interest, identifying important shifts and trends
  • Assist in the development and expansion of new client services and capabilities as it relates to market facing reporting capabilities
  • Test complex models and report to verify results with client data. Test client production reports and identify any trends or noteworthy issues

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in health-care related field, statistics, mathematics, or information technology, or business administration

Experience: 5 years experience in healthcare analysis or other analytical related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) applications
  • Self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in business intelligence tools like PowerBI
